Please join us in welcoming Franklin College's newest sport!

At Franklin College, students involved in the NEW fishing program have the chance to hone a variety of valuable skills. They will gain experience in working with sponsors, developing travel and organizational skills, and mastering time management.

Traveling to various states allows these anglers to explore different lakes and environments, providing experiences beyond what typical college student-athletes encounter. Participants will also cultivate leadership skills by managing the collegiate fishing team and collaborating with sponsors. This comprehensive knowledge can be beneficial for anyone considering a career in professional fishing or for personal development in general.

Donations made to the Franklin College Fishing team are essential for covering expenses such as tournament entry fees, state fishing licenses, fuel for vehicles towing tournament boats, boat fuel, meals, and accommodations, as most tournaments take place out of state.

Did you know? Tournament participation costs $1,500 per angler for fees, fuel, lodging and food.
